First the thanks--- I would like to add my thanks (to the thanks expressed by Sue Ann Lesser below) to all who braved the storm with us on Saturday for dinner by candlelight and entertainment by the Halloween themed wedding sharing our space… wizards and witches and goblins, oh my! … and those who found their way to the show on Sunday morning in spite of closed roads, downed trees and lack of power just about everywhere and snow that just wasn’t plowed as soon as it should have been, to all of us who woke up to no water, no heat, no lights, but still smiled… to all our exhibitors and members and supporters of the DPCTZ annual Independent Specialty… I thank everyone!
To all who got to the show site and pitched in to set up and get ready for the Rau truck to free itself from it’s traffic jam… apologies to all who joined us specifically to hear Parvene Farhoody speak only to find out that she could not make it up to Hopewell Junction (not that we knew that, having no cell service from 4 PM Saturday until midday Sunday)… to ALL, thank you!
Our four point majors in dogs and bitches broke in the morning, but three points held in the afternoon. Results are as follows (any mistakes are my own, but these results are up on the Rau site):

First of all to those hearty determined souls who made it to the show and worked so
hard
THANK YOU!!!!!
To those of you who despite trees down, wretched conditions, and who knows what else
were thinking of us at Arbor Ridge with no power, no heat, no cell phones and no water,
THANK YOU!!!!
The positive energy you sent to us, helped us prevail!!! The Queensboro Show was cancelled
but not ours!!! We Doberpeople are not to be deterred by a freak snowstorm. The majors broke
at the "morning" show (which started circa 11:30 because the Rau truck had to go a very circuitous
route to get there), and there were majors in the afternoon.
Hugs all around to "the few, we happy few."
